Dr. George Sooley
Dr. George Sooley began his journey in healthcare by completing his pre-medical training at Bob Jones University before enrolling at the prestigious National College of Chiropractic in the Chicago area. After an intensive four-year program, he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree in 1997. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology.
Following graduation, Dr. Sooley returned to Vermilion County, Illinois, to establish his practice at the Fairchild location—a site with a chiropractic legacy spanning over eight decades. Throughout his career, he has been privileged to help thousands of patients suffering from conditions such as Fibromyalgia, Migraine Headaches, and Meniere’s Disease.
Dr. Sooley is Board Certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and is also a Board Certified Atlas Orthogonist (BCAO). He is an active member of the Upper Cervical Council of the International Chiropractic Association (ICA). In 2019, he earned his Diplomate in Chiropractic Craniocervical Junction Procedures (DCCJP), a distinction held by fewer than 75 chiropractors worldwide. This advanced certification, awarded by the ICA, required more than 300 hours of classroom instruction and an additional 2.5 years of specialized training, enhancing his expertise in upper cervical care and improving patient outcomes.
In addition to his chiropractic training and experience, Dr. Sooley has pursued advanced post-graduate training in nutrition and holds state certification in acupuncture. His dedication to service has been recognized with multiple awards for his commitment to fellow chiropractors and his outstanding contributions to the community. Passionate about educating others, he has spoken at schools, businesses, and organizations on topics related to health, wellness, and safety. His mission is to improve the quality of life for at-risk patients by combining his specialized expertise with compassionate care. He emphasizes preventive lifestyle coaching, family wellness, and pediatric care, working to restore and sustain the health of individuals and families throughout the Midwest.
Born in Zion, Illinois, Dr. Sooley moved to Vermilion County in 1978. He is the youngest of four children and was inspired to follow in the footsteps of his father, Dr. Gerald Sooley, a WWII Navy veteran who practiced chiropractic spanning five decades, setting a strong example of dedication, excellence and practical experience.
Dr. Sooley has been married to his wife, Jennifer, since 2012. Together, they share a blended Christian family with six children—Janse, Paige, Jeremy, Anna, Leah, and Mackenzie—as well as one granddaughter, Emerie. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing the violin, singing and directing choir at church, and pursuing private pilot lessons.
